A must read

“This book, the first by Sgt. Ganesh Ramalingam, is as plain and simple as it can get. It provides a concise and clear perspective on what life in service is and provides a ray of guidance to finding your foothold in life outside it. I read this book for the purposes of better understanding some of the potential psychology. Instead I learned more about how and why some folks find it seemingly difficult to adapt to newer challenges after years in service. This is a great read for anyone serving who is looking to better understand the corporate life and its associated challenges. Enjoy!"

Overall nice book. Really motivational especially it can be useful ...

“ I am bit confused that how many stars should i give to this book. Overall nice book. Really motivational especially it can be useful for the youth seeking for job or applying for different job interviews. But I didn’t like a concept that it is specially written for transformation of soldiers. I really have respect for those who choose that profession. I am always fascinated by their discipline, way of approach, lifestyle everything. And in my heart I always want to believe once a soldier always a soldier. The book is bit contradictory in that part. So I didn’t like it that way. Overall salute to our Indian army and soldiers!!"

This will be a nice guide for the soldiers returning from their service

“ Eagles Are Born to Fly High!!!: A Success Guide for Returning Soldiers by Ganesh Ramalingam thru this book pointing out the problems faced by returning soldiers. After a busy and strict schedule how the returning soldiers will adapt to the civilian culture, a transition period which has to be smoothly handled. This will be a nice guide for the soldiers returning from their service. Once returned what jobs you can take and how you have to approach the rest of your life. A simple guide.Reading "Eagles are born to Fly high" was like diving into deep water, then watching the ripple effects as they drift away. In short.... This is a little gem of a book."

Must read - all men in uniform

“ Great read to say the least. Kudos to Sgt Ganesh Ramalingam for the simplicity of the language used in his book without compromising on the essence. Though not an avid reader, I found this book to be so engaging. Wish Sgt Ganesh had written and released this sometime when I was still in the service; could have saved good money and time. Nevertheless, am so very happy that this book will certainly be an eye opener to the men in uniform, due to retire. Also, must admit that I was able to bridge the gap myself, something that was missing in my current role (in a private organisation), after reading the book. Highly recommended! Thank you Sgt Ganesh, for this great masterpiece, wish many more from you."

Eagles are born to fly and Air Veteran Ganesh’s Book is no exception!

“It’s but natural for a disciplined airman to feel ‘all at seas’ when they come out of their regimented life, and change in to civil life. More so, if they come out premature to seek and settle in a civil life. Ganesh has elucidated such trials and tribulations based on his own life and thus the book be ones more authentic and sets as a ‘primer’ for one."

Ofcourse it is better, in a conversational style

“It's a boon for returning soldiers, and infact whoever is looking for shift in career which doesnt look obvious. This is one of those book which doesn't use conventional writing style. Ofcourse it is better, in a conversational style, when you read it feels like writer himself is speaking to you in a very simple yet purposeful way. This book is simple provokes your thinking, at the same time it enables and empowers you to take action and get tangible results in your second innings.

“Kudos to Air Veteran Sgt Ganesh…for attempting what no one has attempted before…. writing a book on transition from military to Civil life. Air Veteran Ganesh shows us the insight of a retired soldier facing challenges after retiring and trying to adjust in his civilian innings. Through his book he has tried to bring out the strength and weakness and the high potential in soldiers and how they can channelize their energies into their second career innings. This books shows us an insight in new paths with very useful with practical suggestions. I will recommended this Book as a morale booster to everybody in their new journey who are on the verge of retirement or have already hung up their boots and are on the lookout for a new job or want to establish any new ventures as an entrepreneur. The book also shows the path to self improvement and ways to transition oneself from the military mould to the civilian way of life. A very good book for all uniformed warriors aspiring to lead a successful life as a civilian after their services to the nation!

This book is very useful for all returning veterans

“This book is very useful for all returning veterans. Such books are few or almost nil in the market. Every veteran has a high potential in his civilian innings. But the potentials manifests with right decisions and experiences and of course time has a big constraint in the journey. Imagine, you have a professional advice from a fellow friend who is aware of your strength and weaknesses, than this is the book worth to be relied upon. All abstract rules learned from experiences have been put in a well arranged lines. Roll back of some of the trademark personality traits of a soldier is a new perspective one will meet in this book. Some of the professional interviews will show new paths. Kudos to the writer Sergeant Ganesh Ramalingam . A must read for all returning soldiers and veterans to excel in their new journey. Thanks.

“At the outset let me say that the book is a very good morale booster for all members of the Armed Forces who are on the verge of retirement or have already hung up their boots and are on the lookout for a new job or want to establish any new ventures as an entrepreneur. I say morale booster because the book enumerates the qualities and capabilities inherent in a veteran which, probably even they themselves are not aware. The book also shows the path to self improvement and ways to transition oneself from the military mould to the civilian way of life.I would sincerely recommend this book to the would-be veterans and just-turned veterans as this might help them immensely in establishing their roots in the civil life.

“A brother in uniform and an Author, #GaneshRamalingam is the first name that comes in my mind when I see books...our yesteryears of togetherness in the Andaman Islands, a remote world with thoughts and books to fill with. Never in my life, I thought I will meet a person having many of my traits in common. :-) my time at the Andamans, with Ganesh, Books and the beach, barely felt the need to have anything more. Today, we are veterans having done our service to the Nation in full, celebrated our rendezvous at Bangalore (2015) and shared our part of the struggle in settling down after hanging the uniform(2010) The book "Eagles are born to fly high" is a book, must-read by all soldiers who plan to see a civil life or who are at the verge of leaving Armed forces on their completion of initial engagement. A wide study by him, on self and many other serving and returning soldiers is the outcome of this wonderful book. Each and every aspect of struggle of the returning soldier is addressed carefully and it's a great helping guide designed to overcome the challenges. And to a serving soldier, it will change the perception of 'The other side' , for sure and will equip him with career-building thoughts.

Best and Worthy Gift to be presented to Retired Defense Personnel

“Sergeant Ganesh Ramalingam does indeed walk the talk in his book "Eagles are Born to Fly High".Though the book claims and aims to help retiring Defense personnel whose youthful years still remain, this book is really helpful for any one looking for a new career change in their life. The book is meticulously researched and written in very easy to comprehend simple language. Sergeant Ganesh in this book gives a clear "Road Map" right from Day 1 till settling down comfortably in one's chosen new career or job.Being a Defense Personnel is altogether a different ball game in one's life. After serving the nation for fifteen or more years and then returning to Civilian life is a kind of learning to do baby steps once again. The environments, culture, habits, discipline and style of both life are totally different. Especially being trained to be well disciplined and committed to the core in whatever task entrusted, a retired defense person will find it very difficult to adjust himself and make a smooth transformation to the civilian life - be it in the corporate world or in entrepreneurship because in the civilian world, a lot of unlearning and learning has to happen hand in hand.Ganesh in this book clearly lays down the step by step process in ten chapters to be taken not only for a smooth transformation from the life of a vibrant soldier to that of a smart working highly successful civilian leading a happy and fulfilled life.He explains in detail right from enhancing one's skill level, types of openings available and how to pin point the the best that suits one's skills, the right approach in facing the interviews, importance and effective measures to be adopted to be a success in the first job itself, how to seek expert knowledge in a more than willing way and happy to help you attitude from the experts, and finally creating a value system that is unique to oneself reflecting one's character and talents in the most flexible and positive way as well as how to stay strong foot in that newly developed life style.Altogether, a great book that is really helpful for smooth transmission from one career to another or from that of the Uniform to Civilian. As many of my college mates are in the Defense who are in the process of coming back to civilian life, now I have the Best and Worthy Present to welcome them back.- the Book "Eagles Are Born To Fly High". Thanks to Sergeant Ganesh Ramalingam. The layout of the book, the print, in short every aspect of a printed book is well taken care of and the beauty is that it is simple but elegant making it more worthy for being gifted to somebody whom you cares for. Highly recommended
